Zoe and Matt received Kowhai Express Star awards this week. Zoe got hers for being an engaged and persistent learner and Matt got his for being an experimental and persistent learner.
Sean brought in a fossilised shell that his mum found on a beach one day.
Work began on our school grounds this week. There are fences up around the Rata play area and there was a lot of noise as they used a digger to pull up the old paths.
Mrs Neal came in and helped us to start the papier mache on our Ankylosaurus. It was great fun and Akylosaurus is starting to look very cool.
In the weekend Miss Bell took our template for our big T-Rex skeleton to a workshop and cut them out on wood. It looks like a huge jigsaw. We have painted it bright colours and some of us think it is a Disco dinosaur.
We have watched a little bit more of Prehistoric park this week and when we had some free dinosaur time to an activity some of us decided to work cooperatively to build a large prehistoric park using classroom equipment and some of us drew parks on large pieces of paper.
At school assembly Shaun and Kyla received Artisan awards. Shaun got his award for being an engaged participant in all classroom activities and Kyla got her for giving 100% all of the time.
At buddy time we began making dinosaur eggs. We made them out of balloons which we are now covering in paper and glue just like we are doing with our
Ankylosaurus.
